Course Objective	This course is specifically designed for international students with no prior knowledge of Chinese. It aims to enhance students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities in Chinese, enabling them to meet basic communication needs in daily life. The course begins with the Pinyin and Zhuyin systems to help students learn accurate pronunciation, gradually building practical vocabulary and sentence patterns for use in various conversational contexts. Additionally, the course incorporates a variety of activities to strengthen Chinese language skills, foster an understanding of and interest in Chinese culture, and lay a solid foundation for further Chinese learning.

Note	1. The course focuses on Chinese language and culture throughout the semester, aligning with SDG 4: Quality Education. 2. In Week 10 of the course, students practice calligraphy and engage in hands-on activities to experience culture firsthand and appreciate the beauty of character education. This activity also serves as a form of learning assessment and corresponds to the third component of Innovative Character Education, “Exhortation.”
