Course Objective 生態系統為環境永續的根本。生態系統提供之自然資源與生態服務，也是人類社會中不可或缺的來源。本課程將使同學了解生態系統的運作，以及生態系統的各個組成，透過對生態系統的了解，未來在環境中所建構的各種設施，才能因應環境變化，且不破壞環境。本課程主要目的為在工程中學習與環境的互動，將環境生態因子納入工程建設設計與施作中，使未來硬體建設能更適應環境變異，提高韌性，成為環境所接受的工程。 Ecosystem is the foundation of the environmental sustainability. Ecosystem provides natural resources and ecological service, which are the major supplies for human system. This course is focus on the operation of ecosystem and the components. The understanding of ecosystem would be helpful to build the constructions that is resilient to variable environment and not bring damage to environment. The purpose of this course is to learn the interactions between engineering and environment, and to know how to incorporate ecological factors into engineering design and construction. The hard constructions with environmental considerations are expected to be accepted by the natural environment.
