Course Objective This course introduces engineering students the advanced mathematics in practical engineering problems, including following topics: basic engineering mathematics, the system of differential equations, Markov chain, Fourier series, partial differential equation, vector calculus and related topics.

Course Schedule 1. Review of calculus and engineering mathematics 2. System of differential equations 3. Markov chain 4. Fourier series 5. Partial differential equation 6. Vector calculus

Evaluation and grading policy 40% Midterm exam 40% Final exam 20% Quiz The grading weights are subject to adjustment depending on actual course conditions.
