Course Objective This course mainly introduces the latest AI technologies and applications, as well as how to use mainstream deep learning frameworks: TensorFlow & PyTorch. Students taking this course must possess good programming skills. Meanwhile, we will also introduce some fundamental AI algorithms.

Course Schedule 1. Brief history of AI 2. Machine Learning: How to make machine learn? 3. Linear Algebra and Probability 4. Gradient and Optimization 5. Supervised Learning: Classification 6. Supervised Learning: Regression 7. Unsupervised Learning: Clustering 8. Unsupervised Learning: Dimension Reduction 9. Midterm exam 10. Deep Learning and Neural Networks 11. Natural Language Processing (NLP), RNN, LSTM 12. Transformer, ChatGPT, LLMs 13. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) 14. Object Detection and Image Segmentation 15. GAN & Diffusion 16. Deep Reinforcement Learning 17. Final project demo 18. Final exam
