Course Objective 先修課程：負責教授同意本課程介紹有限元素分析法基本原理及其在各種工程問題上之應用。 1. 有限元素分析法之基本觀念 2. 利用變分原理建立有限元素模式 3. 形狀函數及等參數元素 4. 一維問題:桿、桁架、樑及骨架等 5. 二維問題:平面應力應變及板殼問題。 6. 三維問題:一般實體 7. 有限元素分析之計算機程式處理 8. 有限元素分析於動態問題之應用 9. 相關有限元素分析套裝軟體簡介 To introduce the basic principle of the finite element analysis and its application in solving various types of engineering problems. 1. Introduction to the basic concepts of the finite element analysis 2. Formulation of the finite models through the use of variational principles 3. Shape functions and isoparametric elements 4. One dimensional problems: rod, truss, beam, frame, etc. 5. Two dimensional problems: plane stress, plane strain and plate, etc. 6. Three dimensional problems: typical solids 7. Implementation of the FEM computation by computer 8. Finite element applications in dynamic problems 9. Survey of some finite-element software systems

Course Schedule 1. Overview of Finite Element Method (1 week) 2. Discretization of the Domain (1 week) 3. Interpolation Models (2 weeks) 4. Higher Order and Isoparametric Elements (2 weeks) 5. Derivation of Element Matrices and Vectors (2 weeks) 6. Assembly of Element Matrices and Vectors, and Derivation of System Equations (1 week) 7. Numerical Solution of Finite Element Equations (1 week) 8. Application to Solid Mechanics Problems: Basic Equations and Solution Procedure (1 week) 9. Analysis of Trusses, Beams, and Frames (1 week) 10. Analysis of Plates (1 week) 11. Analysis of Three-Dimensional Problems (1 week) 12. Dynamic Analysis (1 week) 13. Finite Element Analysis Using ABAQUS, ANSYS (1 week)
