Course Objective 本課程旨在教導學生具備獨立思考有機化學的能力;因此課程分為基本觀念(結構式與鍵結),有機化學反應與反應機構以及化合物的製備與分析等三大部分。 The aim of this course is to educate students to think independently about organic chemistry. The course is divided into three parts;introductory material(concepts of structure and bonding);organic reactions and mechanism(sigma-bond chemistry followed by pi-bond chemistry);and topics of more specialized interest.

Course Schedule 1週: 學期評分標準說明, Acids and Bases: Central to Understanding Organic Chemistry 2-3週: An Introduction to Organic Compounds: Nomenclature, Physical Prpperties, and Rotation About Single Bonds 4-5週: Isomers: The Arrangement of Atoms in Space 6-7週: Alkenes: Structure, Nomenclature, and an Introduction to Reactivity. 8週: 期中考 9-10週: The Reactions of Alkenes 11-12週: The Reactions of Alkenes 13-15週: Delocalized Electrons 16週: 期末考 17-18週: 彈性學習

Evaluation and grading policy 出缺席: 10% 期中考: 40% 期末考: 40% 彈性學習: 10%
