Course Objective 一. 人類各文化族群都流傳著歷久不衰的故事,有的表現出人類共同的主題、有的呈現本族獨有的特色,在外語教學的現場可用來增進全球視野、學習文化語文差異、以及磨練英語文的全方位的基本能力。老師們如何在教學上運用這些故事?這是本課程要探索的目標。一.本課程所選擇之研習教材(1)了解當今正在流行的英語小說(或長短篇故事)與其改編的電影,分析該故事與其他世界各地有名故事的關聯,目標是充實碩士生本身的語文程度與跨文化涵養,(2)探索在教學現場如何將這些流行故事的內容轉化為教材與學習活動,以促進學生學習語言文化的興趣與效能. 二. 課程進行內容為(1)教授每周導讀並引介一本(或一套)流行小說,帶領碩士生閱讀原文小說精彩節選並觀賞改編電影精彩片段,(2)教授介紹相關教學法,帶領碩士生演練教材的編寫與教學活動的設計,(3)每位碩士生選擇一本自己喜歡的流行小說,期中考前與期末考前作兩次口頭報告,並在期末報告呈現自己改編的教材.
