Course Objective	資料庫是任何完整的資訊管理系統之不可或缺的一部份，並且已經在各行各業中顯示其與日俱增的重要性，當然土木工程也不例外。尤其近年來地理資訊系統、營建管理系統及地質鑽孔資料庫的發展，更促使土木工程師正視資料庫的重要性，並學習如何有效地管理龐大的相關資訊。因此，本課程的設計即針對此需要來教導學生熟悉現代資料庫系統的設計與技術，以使他們在畢業後更具有競爭力，更容易找到理想的工作。課程的內容將包括資料處理、概念設計、關連式資料模型、及正規化等領域，而學生必須在學期中設計並完成一個完整的資料庫作為專題計畫。
