Course Objective 地理資訊系統（Geographical Information System，簡稱GIS）之開發與應用，即是提供各使用單位，對於大量空間資訊存取、管理、查詢、與分析的最佳解決方案。隨著網際網路的普遍，空間資訊的分享，更擴充了服務內涵。國內各重大工程在規劃設計時，正引用地理資訊系統。以其強大之資訊處理、整合、分析、及展示等功能輔助，如圖籍疊合與環框分析等，使工程規劃設計更為準確客觀，發揮工程最大效益。本課程學習目標在於建立學員能夠具備空間資訊處理的基礎概念與獨立操作能力，並且可以應用於各項討論中。整體課程可分為三個部份： 1. 基礎操作能力； 2. 遙感探測與地理資訊系統整合； 3. WEB GIS。透過實務作業與群體討論，來加強對於抽象學理概念的理解與應用。

Evaluation and grading policy 1.個人網頁內容20% 2.三次習作成績50% 3.WEB GIS 報告30% 注意事項: 1.建置個人網頁或BLOG頁存放課程內容 a.每週上課提供前次上課心得或筆記 b.每週上課提供國外一個GIS相關網站(提供網址與20~50字說明) 2.上課前完成作業線上繳交程序，缺交兩次學期成績以不及格計算。
