Course Objective Various mining exploitation methods and mining equipment involved are introduced in this class. It includes exploration, reserve calculation, resource exploitation, and mining operations (underground and surface). The laboratory exercises include mineral economic analysis, reserve evaluation, mining method selection, break-even analysis, surface blasting design, material handling and machines, hoisting design, recovery calculation, mine power and drainage and overall mining cost analysis.
