Description The objective of this course is to introduce the main methods of systematic economic reasoning. It provides a rigorous treatment of microeconomic theory and its applications. Topics covered in the course will include the theories of consumer behavior; the economics of uncertainty and information; the economics of the public sector; firm behavior and the organization of industry; the economics of labor markets; game theory; and selected topics in general equilibrium and welfare economics.
