| In order to embrace economic development of globalization, especially in Asian and Southeast Asian countries, there is a need to introduce and equip our students not only with the basic local language but also to understand the local culture so as to strengthen the economic tie between Taiwan and the Asian countries and to enhance the employment opportunities of our students in these Asian countries. This course aims to help students to understand and develop basic communication skills by utilizing Bahasa Malaysia (Malaysian language) to communicate with Malaysian in terms of greeting, business contact establishment, interpersonal communication, etc. Historical and geographical backgrounds of Malaysia and their local cultures will also be introduced.
