| The course aims to introduce the key theories of experimental images. Filmmakers and artists employ audio-visual techniques to investigate the nature of images itself, intending to explore sensual perception beyond visuality and expanding the realm of images. Beginning from the early European avant-garde cinema, city symphonies, experimental images to recent Taiwanese films, this course focuses on sensory perception in spectatorship, in response to the emergence of digital art, new media, immersive images, and so on.
