Description The course aims to introduce key issues, examples, research and application related to the studies of cultural landscapes. The introduction includes discussions and debates from human geography, sociology, museology and cultural studies, thus highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of cultural landscapes studies. These discussions and debates also form the analytical framework with which the preservation, interpretation, revitalisation and reuse of cultural landscapes will be examined in the course. Divided into three sections, Key Issues, Meaning Making and Consumption, and Revitalisation and Reuse, the course will be conducted with activities including group presentations, discussions, and field visits, to facilitate the understanding of various aspects of cultural landscapes preservation.
