6027039 Adapting to the Impacts of Climate Change 3.0 3
Description Climate change is a change in the distribution of weather patterns when that change lasts for an extended period of time (i.e., decades to millions of years). Climate change can be caused by factors such as biotic processes, variations in solar radiation received by Earth, plate tectonics, and volcanic eruptions. However, certain human activities have also been identified as significant causes of recent climate change. Climate change not only affects the natural environment, but also influences the natural resource ecology, livelihood security and industrial development. Especially, the greatest threat of climate change is to certain islands. Therefore, how to adapt the impacts of climate change is a very important issue.
