| This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and techniques essential in information security. The topics to be covered include: introductions to information security, conventional encryption, private key technologies, public key technologies and hash functions, message authentication code and protocols, authentication systems, Kerberos, X.509 7, E-Mail security, PGP, S/MIME, IP security, Web security, SHTTP, SSL (Secure Session Layer), system security, and firewall systems.
