Description The course introduces the structure of a electron microscope, the theories of image forming and diffraction, the applications of materials science. The course contents include structure of the transmission electron microscope, the electromagnetic lens and theory of image formation, theory of electronic diffraction, analysis of diffraction pattern, and the preparation of test sample. The structure and principle of forming image for a scanning electron microscope, the X-ray spectrography of EDS and WDS are also included in this course.
