| The course introduces foundational grammatical concepts and terminology which facilitate a systematic understanding about English expressions from a functional(-cognitive) perspective. Essential topics for English pedagogical grammar will be covered, accompanied with students’ reflection about learning difficulties and patterns of error. The course is designed for prospective and practicing teachers of English as a foreign language to raise their metalinguistic awareness and develop an approach to grammar teaching.
