| In this one-credit MA course, students will read excerpts from scholarship by Demoor (and by other scholars writing in books she has edited). They will also read some Victorian fairy tales that first appeared in Victorian periodi-cals and learn about how and why the fantastic was included in these period-icals. In addition to this study, students will attend the Literary Fantasy and Its Discontents conference on November 23–24, including the keynote speeches, and reflect in writing on what they learned at the conference and from the course readings.
