| This course aims to familiarize students with news industry practices (including practices in print, electronic and online news media) and relevant applications. The following three aspects will be covered: (1) an introduction to the news industry (e.g. the current state of the news industry, news ethics, the news production workflow, the role of journalists, new media technologies and international/cross-disciplinary cooperation); (2) English news writing and news styles; (3) reporting practices (especially those related to news coverage of Taiwan).
