Description This course is one of the series of Taiwan traditional architectural culture courses. Its main purpose is to introduce the theories and principles of Taiwanese traditional architecture. With the help of existing research cases and achievements, students can expand their horizons in the study of Taiwanese traditional architecture and learn from traditional architecture. Discussions on specific architectural types and spatial culture issues in architecture, in addition to reading local chronicles and other documents to understand the special spatial cultural meaning of the building, and students conduct field investigations on specific buildings for verification. This course enables students to not only understand the significance of traditional architecture, but also understand the social and cultural significance of specific architectural types.
