| This course is opened to graduate students. Qualified students are those who have taken the courses for both organic chemistry and biochemistry. This lecture is intended to unearth how the present research on hot fields of biochemistry could be promoted by using the cutting-off method from organic chemistry. The course covers the following topics: (1) Foundations of biochemistry (2) Structure and catalysis (3) Enzymes (4) Signal transduction (5) Receptor chemistry (6) Glycolysis and the catabolism of hexoses (7) The Citric Acid Cycle and (8) Oxidation of Fatty Acids
