Description Urban Design should to be understood to apply to all scales of and types of urban activity and to be concerned about the physical arrangement and functioning of urban activities, the physical appearance of the built environment and its relationship to the natural environment, the way in which people experience it and the social and economic factors which influence its quality. So achieving good urban design does not require that every decision maker becomes skilled in important design decision know what the people involved in important design decision know what to look for, the questions to ask, and have at least a rough idea of the criteria to consider. This course will discuss urban design what is it and why is urban design important, what are the challenges, and how to setting our fundamental directions for achieving a more cohesive and satisfying environment.
