Description This course is mainly to teach students the evolution process and connotation of historical buildings in the West (Europe and West Asia), and to equip students with relevant knowledge of Western culture, history and thought. The main teaching contents are as follows: 1. In terms of scope-- From ancient Egypt, West Asia, and the collection to classical architecture, Christian architecture, medieval cathedral era, Renaissance and the architectural history of the 17th and 18th centuries. 2. In terms of ideology-from the Greek culture and philosophical thought, to the evolution of politics, religion and social civilization in various eras, understand the historical connotation and its expression on architecture. 3. In architecture—according to the architectural performance of each period, understand its construction method, material application and related detail features.
