Description
| In this course, students will learn about the fundamental theories of architecture physics which include luminous environment, thermal environment, air environment, and sound environment as an introduction to understanding Systems of Environment Control and Architectural Equipment. The course is divided into 7 sections, (1) Introduction to Architecture Meteorology, (2) Architecture Microclimate, (3) Natural Lighting and Illumination of architecture, (4) Thermal Conduction and Proofing of Architecture, (5) Indoor Air Change and Ventilation, (6) Humidity and Condensation, and (7) Sound absorption and proofing.
In this semester, other than introducing the fundamental theories, related case studies are also incorporated as additional support to help students to be attentive toward issues such as comfort and health in their architectural design class at the same time to encourage the utilization of such knowledge to create energy saving and sustainable architectural designs.
