Description Sketching is one of the oldest, easiest and quickest methods of communication and also one of the most important skills a hopeful designer and artist must master. The course begins with a lot of plants sketching that helps to enhance your observation and build up your confidence in mastering forms and shapes in order to make your sketches vivid. Next still life sketching focuses on the composition. You are encouraged to utilize the composition principle of black, white and gray, and emphasize more on the vividness than the form until you get rid of the habit of passive copying of the objects. Then you move from the previous linear sketching practice into facet sketching and then block sketching. At the end of the semester, you will practice human portrait sketching. Until now you should be able to handle not only the characteristics of the line and proportion, but also the gender, age, charm and expression of the model.
