Description This course introduces physical and musculoskeletal effects of various environmental and ergonomic factors on humans. Lectures cover topics of noise and noise control, environmental temperature, vibration and acceleration measurements, environmental illumination, and work design. This course aims to cultivate students to identify different types of ergonomic risk factors (e.g. luminance, extreme temperatures, abnormal pressure, noise, vibration, musculoskeletal hazards) that can present in the work environment and to learn the related regulation requirements, risk assessment tools, and hazard control strategies.
