3625034 Baseband Communication System and Circuit Design 3.0 3
Description Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) and Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) are promising techniques for current and future communication systems. Several wireless standards, including the 802.11a/g wireless LAN, have adopted these technologies. This course aims to provide the students with training in baseband MIMO/OFDM transmission system design. It thus contains cross-disciplinary knowledge in diverse fields, e.g. communication theory and integrated circuit design. The course is complemented by successful system examples previously designed and implemented by the instructor. All students are required to implement a final project on baseband communication system using Verilog hardware description language.
