3514025 Modern Inorganic Chemistry (II) 2.0 2
Description Modern inorganic chemistry is closely related to the understanding of metal complexes, which becomes an important knowledge to learn material, bioinorganic, and catalytic Chemistry. Therefore, this course is divided into two semesters to provide students the knowledge on how to understand the structure, chemical bonding, spectroscopy, reaction mechanism, catalysis of metal complexes in inorganic chemistry field. In the 2nd semester of this course, we will focus on the organometallic, catalytic and bioinorganic chemistry. In addition to the traditional organometallic reaction, the modern development of cross-coupling reactions on C-C, C-N, and C-S bonds formation in catalysis filed will be emphasized. Finally, the modern development of biomimetic inorganic model compounds and some metalloproteins will be introduced
