Description Geoengineering is planetary-scale environmental engineering, particularly engineering aimed at counteracting the undesired side effects of other human activities. Geoengineering covers a wide range of engineering disciplines related to geo-materials, such as foundation engineering, slope engineering, tunnelling, rock engineering, engineering geology and geo-environmental engineering. This course interests range from geological to geomorphological concept, to provide a firm fundamental background for the civil engineering and environmental engineering, and to manage and mitigate of natural hazards. Implicit in these pursuits is the stewardship of the earth, and the quest to harvest the most advanced fruits of scientific achievements as tools for our graduates to work with.
