Description This course first introduces the basic concepts of risk management, disaster management system and planning, then instructs the types, characteristics and influences of civil engineering related hazards, such as earthquakes, floods, solpe failures, debris flows, and construction incidents, and global weather changing. The hazard mitigation and precaution will also be discussed in class. By introducing disaster related computer information and communication, decisoon supporting system and advanced technologies for disaster prevention will also be lectured in the class.
