| The course mainly targets at the brief introduction to the fundamental principles,
characteristics and application of the metallics, ceramics, polymer,composite
material. Its content includes the crystal structure and defect, atomic diffusion of the
solid materials, phase diagrams and phase transformation, material manufacturing
process and application, the physic property(optical, electrical, magnetical and
thermal property), mechanical property(strength, ductility& maleability, hardness,
toughnesss, fatigue, and creep), strenthening structure and method.
