Description Field Geology is the study on the investigation of rocks and rock materials in their natural environment and in their natural relations to one another. Field geology seeks to describe and explain the surface features and underground structure of the lithosphere. This course is designed as a basic training to field observation and description for undergraduate students in the geological sciences. The following aspects will be emphasized in this course:1.Recognition of rocks and structures, 2.What to measure and what to describe, 3.How to measure the field geologic data, 4.How to describe the field geologic data, and 5.Geologic mapping.
