| This course mainly introduces advanced manufacturing technologies of metals, ceramics, and polymer materials, so that students can understand the principles, limitations and application fields of various material manufacturing processes. In addition, the course will also introduce the role of the vacuum process in material manufacturing and introduce basic vacuum technology and theory. The second half of the course will focus on 3D printing (additive manufacturing) technology of materials, including the seven major categories of 3D printing technologies classified by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), such as powder bed fusion, binder jetting, and other AM technologies.
