3203109 Computer-Aided Chemical Engineering (II) 3.0 3
Description This course aims to utilize computer simulation and computational tools to explore core knowledge in the field of chemical engineering, focusing on two key areas of chemical process design applied in unit operations and transport phenomena (I to III): separation processes and heat integration. In the separation processes section, the course is based on the theoretical foundations of Unit Operations and Transport Phenomena (III) and uses Aspen Plus to operate various unit models, designing common separation units in chemical plants. The content includes the operation and internal design of gas absorption columns, stripping columns, continuous and plate distillation columns, as well as practical case simulations and data analysis. The advanced section will focus on membrane separation, introducing the design of customized modules. In the heat integration section, building on the theory from Unit Operations and Transport Phenomena (I and II), the course will use Aspen Plus to simula
