Description This course will introduce basic ideas of Ethics to students. The topics will include: the definition and criterion of good, motivation and consequence, the problem of free will, determinism and responsibility, autonomy and discipline by others, happiness and pleasure, and virtues. This course will also touch upon those issues in applied Ethics, such as abortion, environment, business ethics, death sentence, etc.
