Description Our course will critically and analytically introduce the following basic concepts: ecocentrism (covering deep ecology, rights of nature, right of animals, land ethics, and simple lifestyle), anthropocentrism (shallow ecology and environmentalism covering local and global issues ), ecofeminism, preservation of wilderness, ecosocialism, cyclic perspective of history, greening religions (eco-Christianity, eco-Buddhism, Confucianism and Ecology, indigenous ecological discourses, postmodern theories of sciences (including chaotic theory, fuzzy theory, theory of complexity, and quantum theory).
