Description The mutual relationship across Taiwan Strait has played a keynote role in deciding what the future position of Taiwan will be and what way Taiwan will develop onto. The totally different constitutional systems in the two sides, moreover, have exerted the greatest impact on the future political development. This course discusses some basic foundations which lead to the different constitutional systems across the strait. With a brief retrospect of the history, an introduction of the importance of human rights, a comparison between the governmental organizations and national policies, this course will prove to be of great help to the students in understanding the mutual relationship between Mainland China and Taiwan.
