Description This course is designed to impart basic understanding and knowledge of the law to students who are not business or law majors. In particular, students will be provided with a basic framework explaining the application of legal principles to their own lives, thus enabling them to pursue business interests and maintain legal rights. Areas of application include: in the modern business world, its application to both individuals and corporate entities, property claims and personal status. It defines not only rights but also duties and obligations. Case studies will be the primary material relied upon in class discussion, thus acquainting students with actual situations which they may someday encounter.
