Description
| This course is designed for non-history majors. It is chiefly intended to interpret the development of the Chinese history in a comprehensive perspective so that students may have a better understanding of the historical trends and their implications and may thus benefit from such an understanding. The course includes the following topics: a comparison of Chinese and Western concepts of history, the political, economic, social, and cultural developments of the Chinese history. The class activities include lectures and discussions; students are also required to submit written reports.
