| The course aims to introduce students to major issues currently of concern to all investors. The purpose is to make all the material accessible to students of investment analysis and management. The major topics of this course include the following: (1) principles of investments, (2) financial markets and instruments, (3) portfolio management, (4) economics and finance database, and (5) case study in finance and investments. It is expected to give students the skills to conduct a sophisticated assessment of watershed current issues and debates covered by the popular media as well as finance journals.
