| This course is to familiarize the mold structure and mold design not only for the beginners but also for experienced mold designers with an engineering approach to design a mold. The contents include the (1) Mold types (plastic mold, press mold, etc.), (2) Basics about mold (injection machine, press machine, and products), (3) Mold design guideline (mold layout, gate, runner, ejection, mold cooling). (4) Mold performance (mold life, cycle time). (5) Case study (emphasizing on both the theoretical and practical issues).
