C103008 Climate change and organization greenhouse gases accounting: theoretical approach 3.0 3
Description This course is based on the IPCC's Climate Change Assessment Report and aims to guide students in understanding the importance of climate change and how future cooperation activities can integrate with it. Apart from focusing on how organizations calculate the greenhouse gas emissions from operational activities, it also introduces how to utilize greenhouse gas inventory data to set transformation strategies and net-zero targets. The course integrates internationally recognized methods like the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064-1:2018, as well as IPCC 2006 and 2019 revisions for calculation theories. It also covers national calculation requirements from Taiwan's Ministry of Environment (MOENV) and international initiatives related to setting net-zero goals and transformation risks. Through comprehensive theoretical approach and practical application, students will complete an organizational greenhouse gas inventory and calculation.
