Description
| This course aims to provide complete training for developing modeling and simulation tools in engineering applications. Students will obtain the ability to analyze problems, formulate algorithms, write code, and implement the developed
open-source programs in their fields of study.
The first part of the training focuses on task-oriented coding experiences. Students will get familiar with the Linux platform and open-source programs. They will perform simple, particle-based simulations. The collected data will be analyzed, visualized, and interpreted based on the programs written by students.
The second part of the training applies the coding knowledge to students’ fields of study. After the literature survey, students will select the topic based on theirexpertise, where research or industrial problems can be accelerated by computer modeling. The final goal is to create software based on the course project.
