| Institutional research is the field where the data science can apply in the education. In the educational field, institutional researchers must use their knowledge and techniques in the educational data analytics, providing the scientific report in a friendly manner to their affiliation. Those scientific report is aimed to improve the institutional operation and the teaching activities. This course would first introduce the function of each office at the university and the institution research topic those offices have interest. Then, the data structure which is commonly seen in the educational field would be introduced followed by a series of training on the data manipulation. Last, this course will teach the students how to conduct the educational program evaluation, data visualization, data analysis and the result interpretation.
