Description The course covers the definition of design research problems, the selection of appropriate quantitative and qualitative research methods and tools, the interpretation of research results, case analysis, and academic writing. It aims to equip students with fundamental research concepts as well as the ability to engage in creative work and scholarly writing. Research Methods (II) emphasizes data analysis, including both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Topics include statistical analysis (descriptive, inferential, and hypothesis testing), in-depth interviews, and participant observation for investigating interaction contexts and behavioral patterns, and research process design and analysis. The course content includes an introduction to research data, research process and design, research methods and analysis, coding and qualitative data collection and analysis, research report writing, and the application of innovative design research.
