| Southeast Asia has been the most important economic and trading partner with Taiwan. Association of Southeast Asian Nations decided to found ASEAN Community in 2015, which takes European Union as a model. At the same time, it is vigorously looking for signing the Bilateral Free Trade Agreement with Japan, China, South Korea, India, Australia and New Zealand for the purpose of establishing an East Asia Free Trade Zone which accounts for the population of 3 billion of people and 9 trillion of GDP. We hope that we can make students learn more about this rising market after the establishment of ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) by introducing them various aspects of Southeast Asia, including its cultures by means of taking part in a working holiday, a study abroad program, a backpacking tour, voluntourism, or a Grand Tour. After this class, students are expected to learn about new employment opportunities in this era of recession and high unemployment rate.
