| This course, at first, accounts for the close relationships between historical relics and cultural tourism under the influence of globalization so that the registered students will have a better chance understanding what role the historical relics might play in the industry of tourism in terms of cultural properties. We discuss the historical relics currently available in Taiwan. All the relics will be classified in terms of particular characteristics in the hope that the students might see into the significant contents hidden inside. Class activities include classroom talks, lectures given by invited speakers, on-the-field visits, etc. With the knowledge established this way, the students will be able to apply what they acquire in class, giving proper information to the tourists in general or people interested in this field.
