| This course aims to focus on both classic theories as well as the latest trends in response to the changing nature of this digital age. Students will learn fundamental knowledge about the definition of new media and its cultures and its conflicts and coexistence with traditional mass media. The associations among digital media, user experience, and organizational models will also be analyzed. This course will provide students with necessary knowledge for academic research as well as new media industries. This course will help students explore, understand how digital media affects individuals, the society, and the globe with in-depth discussions of psychology and cultural studies. This course will also encourage students to reflect on themselves and care about the world.
