A405217 Seminar on Traditional Intellectual Creations 2.0 2
Description Amid the flourishing development of contemporary intellectual property rights, in addition to the constitutionally guaranteed right to property, Taiwan has further recognized cultural fundamental rights and embraced multiculturalism, particularly with respect to indigenous peoples. In this context, statutes such as the Cultural Heritage Preservation Act, the Indigenous Peoples Basic Law, and the Protection Act for the Traditional Intellectual Creations of Indigenous Peoples have been enacted. The course is designed to address these matters through comparative studies with copyright law, analyses of relevant international case law, issues surrounding museum licensing, cultural heritage protection, community revitalization, geographical indications, and disputes arising from emerging technologies.
